About Urban Landworks:
With a passion for the green industry since 2003, Urban Landworks has been providing maintenance and landscaping services to the Bloomington and Twin Cities areas. As a growing business we are dedicated to a wide range of services. Urban Landworks operates out of the Bloomington area and is an owner/operated business with over 60 combined years of experience. We have established ourselves to meet every expectation of our clients. With a wide range of equipment we are ready for every type and size of job. Our attention to detail is second to none. If there ever happens to be any issues with one our properties, our clients speak and work directly with one of the owners or managers.
Our maintenance division is focused on weekly turf services, mowing, aeration, fertilization, landscape management, spring and fall clean up and winter services. Urban Landworks maintains a variety of commercial and residential properties around the Bloomington area.
Our landscape division offers retaining walls, pavers and natural stone patios, boulderscapes, planting, pond and pondless water features, custom fountains, rain water harvesting, and much more. We also offer design services for planning of any project.
As we continue to focus on more earth friendly efforts, we encourage new design practices such as the installation of rain gardens and water features using native materials and plantings, rain water harvesting, and permeable pavement, which excites our company in a new and interesting direction.
We are motivated by a strong work ethic and superior dedication to our clients and services. Our goal is to provide the best service possible and make your property one that we can both be proud of and we believe a solid work ethic, attention to detail, and the use of high-quality materials will continuously yield outstanding results.
Urban Landworks is excited for the opportunity to maintain the outdoor beauty of your commercial property. We look forward to the opportunity to maintain your property. Urban Landworks is ready with the equipment and staff to maintain to the highest standard of quality for your property.
As with any site in the Midwest weekly maintenance to the turf and grounds is essential. Mowing of turf areas will occur once a week by an experienced crew. Weeds in hard surfaces, planting beds, and mulch areas will also be controlled at this time. All obstacles and edges of turf will be trimmed to height of cut turf. Any clipping and plant material on non-turf areas will be blown off.
Turf area at your property will be fed with a combination of granular and liquid fertilizer applications. The fertilizer program recommended by Urban Landworks will be determined by soil type and environmental conditions at each site. This will ensure that the proper amount of nutrition will be given for turf quality. The irrigation system will also be evaluated to ensure the proper amount of water for your turf and planter areas attains conditions for optimal growth and vigor. Due to the unknown complexity of the system a maintenance plan will be determined at a later date. Our staff is fully educated in irrigation maintenance and would respond to any items needing attention in a timely manner.
Urban Landworks will perform a thorough spring cleaning to your site. This would include the removal of winter debris, cleaning sand from surfaces, removal of thatch and leaves from turf surfaces.
The fall maintenance will focus on removing leaves from the property. Urban Landworks proposes to provide the fall service over two occasions. Due to the many varieties of trees in Minnesota, leaves fall at different rates and times. We have found it is best to come more than once during this time to ensure that your property always looks its best. During the fall clean up, our staff will also be cutting down perennials and preparing planting areas for winter.
Urban Landworks employs a full-time landscaping and design team. We could propose a seasonal change for areas that may need refreshing. These planting areas give us the opportunity to bring native and seasonal enjoyment to the site. We could add trees and shrubs to any of one of your landscaped areas to add color and height and texture to your property.
Urban Landworks is fully prepared to take on all that winter throws at us. For your property we would provide snow removal services within our standards of practice. At your property this means snow removal and salting services. We will also be prepared to relocate any excess snow off site or to a different location on site. All walkways and sidewalks will be cleared to ensure safety. If these areas become slippery or dangerous salting will be performed. All parking, entrances, and other areas of traffic will be plowed at 1 inch of snow accumulation. Salting of driving area will also be performed after all snow falls to ensure safety of drivers and pedestrians. Blowing and drifting snow will be monitored and/or property manager will notify Urban Landworks for maintenance. If snow must be removed from your property, Urban Landworks has the resources and equipment needed to do so in a timely manner.
Urban Landworks is looking forward to the opportunity to maintain your property. As a small business we are eager to focus our efforts and passion towards your property.
