Have Questions About Commercial Snow Plowing? We Have Answers!
Who manages the commercial snow removal for the Urban Landworks team?
In the winter, Urban Landworks and Kyle’s Lawn & Snow join forces to provide elite-level Commercial Snow Removal. Because Kyle’s is a division of Urban, our clients benefit from a massive combined fleet and a unified team. This partnership ensures that your business property or HOA is managed by the same high standards we apply to our Landscape Design and Commercial Landscaping projects all summer long.
What are the advantages of a "Team" approach for business properties?
Commercial sites require high-capacity resources and zero-fail reliability. By combining the strengths of Urban and Kyle’s, we offer:
- Enhanced Capacity: A larger fleet of plows, loaders, and salt trucks to handle even the heaviest Minnesota blizzards.
- Redundancy: If a machine goes down, our team has immediate backups to ensure your lot is cleared on time.
- Site Familiarity: Since we often handle the summer Landscape Maintenance for our commercial clients, our operators already know where your curbs, Retaining Walls, and Trees & Shrubs are located.
What types of commercial properties do you service in the Twin Cities?
Our unified team provides Commercial Snow Plowing for a wide range of clients, including:
- Office Parks and Corporate Campuses
- Retail Centers and Shopping Malls
- Homeowners Associations (HOAs) and Townhome Complexes
- Industrial Warehouses and Medical Facilities
- We tailor our efforts to the specific traffic patterns and safety needs of each unique site.
What is the snowfall "trigger" and dispatch policy for commercial accounts?
Safety and accessibility are non-negotiable for businesses. We typically operate on a 1-inch snowfall trigger, though we can customize this based on your specific contract. Our team monitors weather data 24/7 and dispatches crews well before the business day begins. For major storms, Kyle’s Lawn & Snow and Urban work through the night to ensure your parking lots are clear for employees and customers by morning.
How do you manage ice and liability concerns for commercial sites?
Ice is a significant liability for commercial properties. Our Commercial Snow Removal service includes professional Ice Management. We use high-quality salt and liquid de-icing agents to prevent slip-and-fall accidents on walkways and in parking lots. We strategically apply these materials to manage the “freeze-thaw” cycle common in Bloomington and the Twin Cities, protecting your visitors and your brand.
Do you provide sidewalk and entryway clearing for businesses?
Yes. A parking lot is only useful if people can safely reach the front door. Our team provides meticulous Sidewalk & Entryway Shoveling as part of our commercial service. We ensure that steps, ramps, and municipal sidewalks are cleared down to the pavement. We take extra care near Foundation Plantings and Boulder Walls to ensure your winter curb appeal remains high.
How do you protect our landscape and hardscape assets during plowing?
One of the biggest risks of commercial plowing is damage to the property. Because we are experts in Hardscaping, our operators are trained to protect your investment. We use markers to identify “hidden” assets like Paver Patios, landscape lighting, and irrigation heads. Our process involves using the right equipment for the right space—ensuring we don’t chip your Retaining Walls or damage your Trees & Shrubs while moving heavy snow.
Can we request snow hauling if our parking lot runs out of space?
Minnesota winters often produce more snow than a parking lot can hold. When snow piles become a safety hazard or take up valuable parking stalls, our team provides professional Snow Hauling and Relocation. We utilize loaders and dump trucks to move snow to designated areas or off-site entirely, ensuring your business operations can continue without obstruction.
Is communication and site monitoring included in the contract?
Effective Commercial Snow Removal requires constant communication. We provide our commercial clients with regular updates during storm events. Our managers perform site inspections to ensure our quality of work meets the “Urban/Kyle’s Standard.” This proactive monitoring ensures that “problem areas”—like drifting snow or hidden ice patches—are addressed before they become a liability.
How do I get a commercial snow removal quote for my business?
Securing your spot on our commercial route is a critical part of your yearly Landscape Maintenance planning. To get an estimate, call the team at 952-884-1672 or visit the Kyle’s Lawn & Snow Commercial Page. We will perform a site walk-through to evaluate your acreage, sidewalk needs, and de-icing requirements. Let our combined team handle the “mess” of winter so you can focus on running your business.
